April 18th, this is how we kick off the spring/summer season of events. This year YTA will have our friends from Back Country Horsemen of Central Arizona and PMBA- Prescott Mountain Bike Alliance in the booth with us. Talk about a party. We will also have the packets for the Yavapai Youth Trails Challenge . Its the perfect time to get the whole family out on the trails.

Did you know regional trails planning is in progress? A regional trails plan is a long-range planning document that guides the development, management, and conservation of a connected network of trails across multiple communities and jurisdictions. Its purpose is to strengthen connections between natural areas, neighborhoods, transportation systems, and destinations while protecting environmental resources and supporting recreation, mobility, and regional identity. Regional trails plans are most effective, implementable, and community-suported when developed collaboratively. Yavapai Trails Association is happy to be a part of this collaborative project. We are in this room for you, the trail user. During this process YTA will forward you survey(s) and dates for public input. We hope you also participate in this process.
Thank you to all the co-convenors and partners who are so dedicated to our trails and communities. Happy Trails!! ... See MoreSee Less

Are you a skilled trailwork volunteer? Do you love maintaining, building, connecting Prescott area trails? Have you ever considered becoming a crew leader? Yavapai Trails Association would like to talk to you, yes you. We need to develop a couple new crew leaders (to work with the Prescott National Forest). The advantages of doing this with YTA are numerous, however our smaller crews are a great way to start as a leader. Yes, there will be paperwork involved (yuck) and you'll need to be first aid/cpr certified (YTA will pay for this) but you will also enjoy the trails with a new sense of pride, knowing you've helped to support you fellow trails community.
